Show Notes

Having spirited kids and running a business can be challenging; it’s not for the faint of heart. But there is strength and beauty in being able to do this successfully. Women in STEM often leave the STEM field because of not feeling supported in their motherly tasks and start their own businesses, so this episode will speak to a lot of you. Episode 27 of This Green Planet is about parenting spirited kids while running a successful business!

In this episode of This Green Planet, I’m sharing the importance of understanding your child’s strong-willed nature and the actionable steps you can take right now to be able to raise spirited children and run a successful business simultaneously.

I cover some of the following topics:

  • Defining “spirited children” and common signs your child might fit this category as well.
  • How to handle your child’s behavior in a productive way
  • Setting boundaries and expectations going into business ownership while raising children.
  • How to prioritize your boundaries and priorities without comparison to others’ success.

There is no magical recipe to successful parenting while running a business. But with the tips I have shared today, I have been able to have successful, highly passionate children while also running and growing a successful business, and I think you will be able to do so too. Be sure to tune in to all the episodes to receive tons of practical tips on sustainable, STEM business practices and to hear even more about the points outlined above.
